Exit Line Setup for a New Filling Machine

A new high-speed filling machine was purchased by the customer, which required an additional exit system. This system would have to carry the finished product out of grade A, inspect the bottles for quality with a vision system, perform laser etching for the required information, and distribute the good product to bins with a bin dispenser system.
Required Modifications:
  • Design and build a bottomless conveyor responsible for transferring the bottles from grade A to grade B.
  • Design and build a linear conveyor that will have a vision system with two high-speed cameras for quality inspection and a laser etcher.
  • Design and build an incline conveyor with a bin separator. The incline conveyor would transfer the finished goods to the container and switch to the next bin automatically.
  • Make sure that the system can work reliably at 200 bottles per minute.
Results:

The new high-speed filling machine’s exit system was successfully implemented, meeting all the customer’s requirements for efficiency and precision. The bottomless conveyor was designed and built to seamlessly transfer bottles from grade A to grade B, ensuring smooth transitions without disrupting the flow. The linear conveyor, equipped with two high-speed cameras and a laser etcher, effectively inspects and etches the required information on each bottle, maintaining high accuracy even at rapid speeds. The incline conveyor, featuring an automatic bin separator, efficiently distributes the good product into the designated bins, enhancing the overall productivity of the system.
All components were tested to handle the target throughput of 200 bottles per minute, and the system consistently demonstrated reliability and effectiveness during operation. This upgrade has resulted in a significant improvement in production output and quality control, providing the customer with a robust and scalable solution tailored to their operational needs.
