Required Modifications:
  • Bottle Unscrambler adaptation for the new bottle format.
  • New pick and place design and program to accommodate a new style of caps.
  • A new vibratory bowl feeder for caps was designed and built.
  • Redesigned all the starwheels to accommodate a different style of product.
  • Modified all the linear motions in the scrolls.
Results:

The comprehensive redesign and retrofit of the aseptic filling machine by Capital Automation successfully met the new production requirements. The modifications enabled the machine to handle a different format of bottles effectively, demonstrating improved functionality and stability in production. The newly adapted bottle unscrambler seamlessly integrated with the other changes, ensuring efficient bottle handling. The redesigned pick and place mechanism, along with its updated programming, flawlessly accommodated the new style of caps, enhancing the machine’s operational efficiency. The addition of the custom-designed vibratory bowl feeder for caps streamlined the cap handling process, further optimizing the production line. Adjustments to the starwheels and linear motions in the scrolls were executed with precision, allowing for smooth transitions and minimizing downtime. Overall, the project was completed on time and within budget, thereby achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and a notable return on investment.
